In modern home life, tempered glass table tops have become a popular choice for dining tables, coffee tables, and other furniture, thanks to their advantages such as transparent texture, easy cleaning, and durability. But how to choose the right size for a tempered glass table top? First, the size of a tempered glass table top is not the bigger the better; it needs to be judged comprehensively based on factors like usage scenarios and the number of users. The following references are available:

The core requirement is to "accommodate the number of diners, with sufficient space for each person to move". A separate area of at least 60cm*40cm should be reserved per diner. Therefore:

Small dining table for 2-3 people: It is recommended to have a width of 60-80cm and a length of 80-120cm. Avoid excessive width, which may make it inconvenient to reach for dishes.

Regular dining table for 4-6 people: Width 80-100cm, length 120-160cm. If space permits, the length can be increased to 180cm (suitable for 6-8 people).

Large dining table for more than 8 people: Width 100-120cm, length 180-240cm.

Note: For rectangular tabletops longer than 160cm, it is recommended to match them with middle supports (such as double brackets) to prevent the glass from deforming under load due to large spans.

The core requirement is to "match the size of the sofa, facilitate taking and placing items, and not occupy too much activity space". The width of the coffee table is usually 1/2 to 2/3 of the sofa width, and the depth is preferably no more than 1/2 of the sofa depth:

Small coffee table for single/double sofa: Width 40-60cm, depth 30-50cm, suitable for small apartments.

Regular coffee table for three-seater sofa: Width 60-80cm, depth 40-60cm. If there is a side table next to the sofa, the coffee table can be appropriately reduced in size.

Large coffee table for L-shaped sofa in a spacious living room: Width 80-120cm, depth 60-80cm. Rectangular or oval shapes can be chosen to enhance the overall sense of space.

In short, choosing a tempered glass tabletop should follow the logic of "determine the scenario first, then select the size", so that the tempered glass tabletop is not only practical but also fits the overall environment.
